So I'm back from my three day trip to Tainan. Those of you who may have tried to reach me on AIM/MSN/phone... that was where I was! Sorry for not letting a lot of you know beforehand... xP
Well, that aside, it was a great trip. Me and my sister took the train down, and our relatives came to get us. Nonstop eating on the first day! =O We ate a bien-dong on the train for lunch, and when we got to Tainan, our relatives took us to eat ice cream. After that, they took us to eat this shrimp-roll-up thing. It was all very delicious, but I'm sure I gained a lot of weight too! So much yummy food. =) Went shopping at night in downtown Tainan... it's awesome there! They had a lot of cheap but nice clothing and they even had a punk store. Like, a store that sold all punk outfits and stuff. My sister and cousin each got a shirt, and they wanted me to get one too, but I couldn't find one that I would actually wear, so didn't end up getting one. I did get some other stuff though, and most of our money was gone the first night. =O
Our trip was packed with activities! It was busy, but fun and relaxing at the same time. We went KTV-ing at 10 in the morning the next day, followed by a bowling trip and arcade games. It was a ton of fun. =) We played mahjong every night, too.
I sure am gonna miss my cousins and aunt and uncle. =( This is the last time I'll see them in a year, and the next time I go down to Tainan to visit, will things be the same? My little cousins are growing up so fast and I want to be there to see it. =( (It sounds like I'm talking about my own kids...) We had so much fun these past three days, and I hope that next summer when I go down there again, things won't have changed much. My cousins are the sweetest -- they bought us tons of stuff and me and my sister came back with twice the amount of luggage than we brought there. I don't think it's the amount of stuff they gave us -- it was the heart they gave it with. Everytime they saw something good/nice that they thought we'd like, they bought it for us. For me, it was like, a "sending me off" kind of thing. Like, when we went shopping, my littlest cousin only had 100 NT on her (cuz she's like, 8, and her mom didn't want her to lose money) and she saw this little bear figurine that cost 30 NT. She also bought some other stuff, so she only had a little money left. She asked me if I liked it, and I said, "Yeah, it's cute." She then secretly bought it and gave it to me later on. She's the sweetest little girl. This was a memorable trip.
